ABOUT ME
I am a Scientist D at the CSIR–Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (CSIR-AMPRI), Bhopal, India, specializing in the synthesis and characterization of cost-effective graphitic nanocarbon materials such as carbon nanofibers (CNFs), carbon nanotubes (CNTs), carbon nanoparticles (CNPs), graphene, and carbon dots (C-dots). My research integrates advanced carbon-based nanomaterials, microbial electrochemical systems, and catalytic technologies to address pressing challenges in sustainable energy generation, carbon utilization, and environmental remediation.
I hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and completed my postdoctoral research at the Korea Institute of Materials Science, South Korea. Over the course of my career, I have published approximately 65 high-impact SCI-indexed research articles so far.
My current research focuses on:
• Electrochemical CO₂ reduction for value-added chemical production
• Microbial fuel cells and microbial electrolysis cells for clean energy and wastewater treatment
• Electrocatalysis and hydrogen generation using advanced carbon nanofiber-based electrodes (Conventional water splitting, Urea Oxidation and Hydrazine Oxidation route)
• Electrochemical sensors for detecting pollutants, pesticides, antibiotics, and heavy metals in water
I have extensive expertise in chemical vapor deposition (CVD) for growing graphitic carbon nanofibers and have successfully developed scalable catalysts and electrode materials tailored for energy and sensor applications. My work embodies a multidisciplinary approach, bridging chemical engineering, materials science, and environmental technology.
Beyond research, I am passionate about photography, where I explore creative perspectives and visual storytelling. My collection, showcased in My Photography, reflects the same curiosity and attention to detail that drive my scientific endeavors.
I aim to contribute to cutting-edge research and teaching in sustainable energy and environmental technologies.
